D. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. THESE REPAIR DRAWINGS ARE INTENDED FOR USE BY A
CONTRACTOR THAT IS QUALIFIED TO PERFORM THE
REPAIR ITEMS SPECIFIED. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S
RESPONSIBILITY TO ASSURE THAT ALL ITEMS ARE
INSTALLED TO MEET THE INTENT OF THESE DRAWINGS.
2. ALL MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND WORK SHALL COMPLY
WITH ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY,
MUNICIPAL AND INDUSTRY CODES, STANDARDS, LAWS
AND ORDINANCES IN EFFECT ON THE DATE
CONSTRUCTION COMMENCES.
3. DIMENSIONS AND ELEVATIONS OF EXISTING, ADJACENT
FACILITIES SHALL HAVE PRECEDENCE AND PRIORITY
OVER DIMENSIONS AND ELEVATIONS SHOWN ON THESE
PLANS. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS ON
THESE DRAWINGS AGAINST EXISTING (LE, ACTUAL FIELD)
CONDITIONS AND IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY OWNER AND Pie
OF ANY DISCREPANCIES.
4. IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO
INFORM OWNER & Pie OF ANY OBSERVED CONFLICTS
THAT ARISE BETWEEN THE SPECIFIED REPAIRS AND THE
EXISTING CONDITIONS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
DIMENSIONS AND CONCEALED ITEMS/CONDITIONS.
5. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY OWNER & Pie OF ANY
OBSERVED BUILDING DETERIORATION NOT SPECIFICALLY
IDENTIFIED BY THESE DRAWINGS BEFORE CONTINUING
WITH THE WORK.
6. FOR THE SCOPE OF WORK SPECIFIED IN THESE PLANS,
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH ALL MATERIALS,
EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES AND LABOR AS REQUIRED.
7. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING
PROPER SHORING AND BRACING OF THE EXISTING
COMPONENTS DURING THE REPAIR. THE CONTRACTOR IS
ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR CONFORMING TO ALL OSHA
REGULATIONS DURING THE WORK.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ENSURE THE INTERIOR
PORTIONS OF THE BUILDING REMAIN DRY.
9. WORKMANSHIP AND MATERIALS ARE SUBJECT TO THE
APPROVAL OF OWNER & Pie.
10. OWNER & Pie APPROVAL MUST BE OBTAINED PRIOR TO
THE INSTALLATION OF ALL SUBSTITUTIONS.
11. ALL ITEMS OF WORK SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED IN A
MANNER THAT IS CONSISTENT WITH THE BEST MODERN
CONSTRUCTION PRACTICE.
12. CONTRACTOR SHALL MAKE MAXIMUM EFFORT TO
PERFORM ALL WORK IN THE LEAST DISRUPTIVE MANNER
AND MAINTAIN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT DURING
CONSTRUCTION. ALL BARRICADES AND CONTROLS SHALL
BE ERECTED AND MAINTAINED BY THE CONTRACTOR
UNTIL COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT.
13. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LOCAL TRAFFIC
AND PEDESTRIAN CONTROL AND SITE SAFETY AND
SECURITY. RESETTING OF SIGNS SHALL INCLUDE THE
TEMPORARY RESETTING OF SIGNS NECESSARY FOR
TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN REGULATION (I.E.CAUTIONS
SIGNS, ETC.).
14. AT TIMES OF EQUIPMENT EMPLOYMENT, CONTRACTOR
SHALL EMPLOY FIELD PERSONNEL TO AID IN GUIDING
PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC SAFELY AWAY FROM THE WORKING
AREA. AUDIO SIGNALS OF ALL CONSTRUCTION
MACHINERY SHALL BE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER DURING
THE CONSTRUCTION.
15. THE CONSTRUCTION WORK AREA IS LIMITED TO THE
AREAS SPECIFIED ON THESE DRAWINGS. ALL AFFECTED
AREAS, EVEN THOSE AREAS NOT IDENTIFIED, SHALL BE
FINISHED TO PRE -CONSTRUCTION CONDITIONS, UNLESS
OTHERWISE SHOWN ON THESE DRAWINGS.
