11.3 Construct a new building to appear
similar in scale and proportion with the
historic buildings on a parcel.
•Subdivide larger masses into smaller
“modules” that are similar in size to the
historic buildings on the original site
•Reflect the heights and proportions that
characterize the historic resource.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff Recommends Continuation to 07/22 with the Following Direction:
1.Staff recommends the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) continue this
application with the following direction:
2.Restudy the building mass most visible from the northwest elevation to meet
Design Guideline 11.3.
3.Continue to work with all relevant City Departments including Engineering,
Parks, and Zoning to ensure all requirements related to drainage and
stormwater mitigation are met.
4.Work with the Engineering Department to resolve the request for providing
head in 2-hour parking on Queen Street.
