RE: HISTORICAL RESOURCE ON NEALE AVE
Dear Distinguished Members of HPC,
We are grateful for your hard work. The purpose of this letter is to reiterate that we do not want
our property (the historic resource) damaged in any way by the proposed construction at 110 Neale
Avenue.
For the record, please consider these points in reviewing 110 Neale Avenue:
·I am the Owner [and Manager] of Short/Aspen, LLC, the owner of the property at 114 Neale
Street, where I am a part-time resident. We worked with Steev Wilson to meticulously
protect the Circa-1886 cabin and have been good stewards. We view the charm of our cabin
to be public art, and as such have enhanced our neighborhood.
·The Notice of this project came about quickly, and we have made every effort to cooperate.
·Since I am not an architect, I have requested site poles to better explain to me the impacts.
Further,
o I am concerned that the addition of this new mass bulk to the viewshed from our
historic property might not relate to 114 Neale and, may be jarring or even an
obstruction of line of sight. This profit-making venture must not impact the historic
resource negatively.
o I also note that there are a number of recorded covenants running to the benefit of
114 Neale and to the burden of 110 Neale, and I want to make sure that the new
plans comply with the covenants.
·I am curious if a site inspection has been completed from the historic resource. Again, site
poles would assist.
*We would greatly appreciate proper trimming of the overgrown trees.
Lastly, my husband has been hospitalized out-of-state. Since he normally handles these
issues, I will be available for the zoom meeting, but only for a short time due to a conflict.
Regards,
Ann Short
