Hi Sara,
Jeff and I agree and approve on the following items:
1. Location and proposed style/material of the gutters and downspouts.
2. Proposed exterior light fixtures: existing front fixture to remain, preferred EL-01 (Catskill LED, preferred light
fixture) on non-historic addition, and two goose neck light fixtures where the new garage door is proposed.
The proposed new window on the west elevation of the non-historic addition: staff is comfortable approving the
proposed fenestration change but the Building Department may have issues with this change because the new opening
may be too close to the property line.

Subject: 134 E Bleeker project monitoring
Hi Sarah,
I hope you had a nice weekend. Please find attached some project monitoring items for 134 E. Bleeker St. I believe
Jeffrey is our monitor. The Eigelberger team forwarded the permit comments and have put together the
following monitoring items to address these notes. I thought it would be easier for us to work directly on this
before we submit the formal response through the building permit portal to save time. Is that ok with you?
Here is a summary of the attached drawing set:
1. A new window is proposed on the west elevation. This is a non-street facing elevation that is non-historic and
does not impact the historic landmark. Please let us know if this scope is approvable by the monitor. If it isn’t
then we will likely take it out of the proposal. The window is metal frame with wood cladding.
2. Lighting plan – light fixtures follow the plan. There are two options for the non-historic construction. The plan is
to leave the existing fixture on the Victorian so the Victorian entrance reads at the main entrance to the project
and it has a special light as compared to the rest of the project. Here is a photo of the existing fixture:

The barn light is a typical barn style light that will provide some light to the garage door entrance since the alley
is so dark.
3. Gutter and Downspout elevations and plan – half round gutters that are lead coated copper finish. The
downspouts are located at corners. We did our best to avoid covering any character defining features of the
front porch by pushing the downspouts back to the gable end facing the streetwhile still making sure that the
drainage actually works.
7.10 Design gutters so that their visibility on the structure is minimized to the extent
possible.
Downspouts should be placed in locations that are not visible from the street if possible, or in
locations that do not obscure architectural detailing on the building.
The material used for the gutters should be in character with the style of the building.
