Building materials shall have these features:
•Be non-reflective. Shiny or glossy materials are not
appropriate as a primary material.
•Have proven durability and weathering characteristics
within Aspen’s climate.
Commercial Design Guidelines
Architectural details should reinforce historic context and
meet at least two of the following qualities:
•Color or finish traditionally found downtown.
•Texture to create visual interest.
•Traditional material: brick stone, metal and wood.
•Traditional application: for examples, a running bond for
masonry.
