Happy to clarify where needed. House Relocation- Bill, please send the check over to City Hall at your convenience. I need to have it in hand before I can sign the permit for HPC. Please add info to the relocation drawing clarifying any efforts you will take to protect the house, such as plywood over windows, braces to support the porch roof, etc. Information regarding house protection efforts will be added to the House Relocation sheet. Landscape- the amendments to the right-of-way plantings and site features are helpful, but there is still a desire to see all shrubs removed from immediately around the historic resource. The rest of the plan is ok. Landscape plan will be revised. Flues- the preference is for the pair of flues on the south facing shed roof. Will these meet code? Can you please specify painted metal? If there is a code issue we will need to re-review. No code issue. Drawings / details will specify painted metal. Preservation Plan- is it possible to get a higher resolution photo of the picture that looks at the house in its original location to try to ensure that window design, porch restoration, etc. are as accurate as possible? Can you please revise the lattice detail at the base of the porch to add vertical and horizontal trim that frames the lattice every so many feet? We are not able to get a better photo but will try to enhance the resolution of the photo through Photoshop. Detail will be updated to show lattice frames. For the porch lighting, the soffit lights are ok and it is preferred that they operate together, not separately. Noted. With these clarifications, you can proceed to submit for permit. There may be more comments as part of the HPC review. At this point we’re just trying to resolve as many of the HPC conditions of approval as possible.
