Project Details and Review Criteria The applicant is undertaking a repair of a legal non-conforming deck on the 4th floor of 508 E Cooper, a non-contributing building in the Commercial Core Historic District, by undertaking the following work as represented in the land use application: • Replace and repair deteriorated decking and any associated roofing issues. No changes will be made to the dimensions or use of the existing deck. The project qualifies for a Certificate of No Negative Effect according to Section 26.415.070.B of the Municipal Code as it entails alterations to a non-contributing building within the historic district. Based on a review of the applicable Commercial, Lodging and Historic Design Standards and Guidelines (1.18, 1.19, 1.21, 1.22, 1.23, 1.33, and 1.34), staff finds the proposed work will not diminish, eliminate or adversely affect the significant historic and/or architectural character of the Historic District in which it is located and the design standards and guidelines applicable are met with no additional conditions. _________________________________ Natalie Feinberg Lopez, Historic Preservation Officer Expires 3 years from date of separately issued Development Order.
