Project Details and Review Criteria
The applicant is undertaking work that involves an interior remodel and the replacement of exterior
windows for a non-contributing building in the Commercial Core Historic District.
• Replacement of t window on the north (alley) elevation.
• Replacementof4windowsontheeast elevation.
The project qualifies for a Certificate of No Negative Effect according to Sections6.4�5•070.6 of the
Municipal Code as it entails alterations toa non-contributing building within the historic district.
The property is located in the midground of the Courthouse Viewplane but the proposed exterior
alterations does not create an infringement into the view plane or visibly increase the height or mass of
the building from the view plane reference point (Section 26.435.050).
Review based on applicable Commercial, Lodging and Historic Design Standards and Guidelines (t.22,
7.23, �•33. �•34 and 7.35), staff finds that the work will not diminish, eliminate or adversely affect the
significant historic and/or architectural character of the subject property or Historic District in which it
is located and that the design standards and guidelines applicable to this remodel are met, with no
conditions.
