HomeMy WebLinkAboutPhase 1_expanded scopeAmendment to the Professional Services Agreement between the City of Aspen and SE Group approved by the City Manager on April 3, 2017, contract number 2017-048, amending the original contract with an additional statement of work and the compensation associated with the additional work. Statement of Work — enter Gorsuch Haus developers and the Lift One Lodge developers would like to expand the scope of our original Lift IA contract. The expanded scope includes additional analysis of the original 4 options, full analysis of two additional options, and partial analysis of three additional options. Following is SE Group's proposed contract addendum for undertaking this additional work. The additional options to be analyzed are 1. Option 5 —Lift IA spanning over buildings (Partial Analysis). 2. Option 6 — Flipping the Lift IA alignment and Gorsuch Haus building in Scenario 4 (Full Analysis). 3. Option 7 -Placing the lift over the S. Aspen Street Right -of -Way (Partial Analysis). 4. Option 8 — Going over the Dolensik property (Partial Analysis). 5. Option 9 — Lift One Lodge approved 'solution. (Full Analysis) TASK 1 —Additional Analysis for Options 1-4 Prepare north -to -south site sections depicting vertical information and relationships, with elevations, contours, grades, towers and presumed lift profiles, to more clearly illustrate the feasibility and impacts of ski infrastructure on the surrounding landscape and development proposals. TASK 2 — Full Analysis of Options 6 and 9 Prepare analysis as described in the original scope of work covering Options 1-4, plus the Additional Analysis described above in Task 1, for Options 6 and 9. TASK 3 — Partial Analysis of Options 5, 7 and 8 For various reasons, options 5, 7 and 8 are not considered to be worthy of full analysis at this time. Therefore, a very general evaluation of these three options will be undertaken to better understand their basic feasibility. The partial analysis will include the following: 1. Basic description of the option 2. General mapping assessment of the physical feasibility and practicality of each option 3. A summary of findings from the general feasibility assessment 4. The partial analysis may conclude that one or more of these options warrant full analysis (which would trigger additional scope not covered under this addendum) TASK 4 — Report Production 1. Our report outlining study methodologies, information sources, findings, and conclusions will be expanded to include the 5 additional options 2. Graphics production of report illustrations will be expanded to include the 5 additional options Timing Work shall begin with the authorization to proceed from the City. It is anticipated that finishing the tasks covered in the original statement of work, plus tasks 1-4 above, will take 4 to 5 weeks to complete. The presentation in Aspen would occur following completion of tasks 1-4, as schedules dictate. Compensation Professional fees for Addendum tasks 1-4 are not anticipated to exceed $18,000. SE Group will not exceed this budget estimate without prior authorization and/or a scope revision from the client. Invoicing Invoices must be submitted to AP(a,citYofas ei� i.com and include the City's PO number on each invoice. Failure to do so may result in significant delays in processing payment.
