Note:This checklist is specific to Building Department requirements for various building permit application types.For Zoning,Engineering,Parks,
Utilities,and WELS requirements visit their pages at http://www.aspen.gov.
Building permit application submissions must include ALL the Submittal Requirements on this checklist or they will not be accepted.Refer to the
IBC Building Submittal Guide for more information about each requirement. Submittal guides,required forms and other resources can be found in
the Building Department Document and Resource Library.
Submit all documents and drawings in PDF format via the Salesforce portal.Follow File Preparation Standards for all files submitted.

ADDITIONAL NOTES and/or REQUIREMENTS
-provide occupant load calc and plumbing fixture calc for that occupant load
-if occupant load is over 50 you'll need to open up the corridor to the rear 2nd exit so that it is not
considered passing through the kitchen, compliant egress to 2nd exit not req'd under 50 occupants
-stamped full MEP design. ComCheck, kitchen hood design and ventilation calculation
-specs on all kitchen/bar equipment
-specs on all light fixtures with max wattage and NRTL listing highlighted
-walk in specs to demonstrate energy code compliance
-5% of seating and dining surfaces to be accessible and distributed throughout the space
-roof plan showing new equipment
-show required clearances (30"x48") at bar companion seat (all seat clearances can be tucked into
tables/bar 17" demonstrating knee and toe clearance. will help aisles fit around clearances as they
should not overlap)
-show 36" wide accessible route through dining space to all exits. elevator and restrooms
-touch base with EH directly to ensure submittal has everything they need for food service licensing
-1 hour ceiling detailing or detailing of existing 1 hour structure already in place with compliantly
attached drops (see IBC 803.13)
-1 hour fire protection of primary structure (columns), special inspection if using spray applied material
