Section 2603.4.1.2 is satisfied when used with automatic sprinklers (by others) and a thermal barrier is not required. Without sprinklers, 2603.4.1.3 is satisfied with 4" panel construction on a unit that does not exceed 400 square feet with a thermal barrier (by others). As these are site-assembled walk-ins, Section C403.2.15 does not apply. 1 -Automatic door closers shall be provided that will fully close walk-in doors that have been closed to within 1 inch (25mm) of full closure. 2 - Doorways shall be provided with cam-lift hinges. 3 - Insulation for cooler walls, ceilings and doors shall have a thermal resistance of R-28, exceeding IECC requirement of not less than R-25. 4 - Insulation for freezer floors shall have a thermal resistance of R-28 or greater. 5 & 6 - Not Applicable to this project. No transparent doors. 7 - Evaporator fans will be provided with EC Motors. 8 - Condenser fans will be supplied with PSC motors. 9 & 10 - Not Applicable, no glass doors/antisweat heaters. 11 - Light sources provided by Arctic will be LED and have an efficacy of not less than 40 lumens per Watt.
