RE: Exterior Soffit for Unit 5 Dryer Vent
Dear Building Department Reviewer:
The Cooper Avenue Victorian Condominium Association ("CAV") has granted permission, as part
of the Unit 5 remodel, for Crawford Design Build to construct a soffit made to look like a beam
("false beam") in order to provide an outlet path for the dryer vent needed for Unit 5. The false
beam is to be located where the ceiling of the covered breezeway meets the south facing
exterior wall of Unit 2 and the breezeway walkway. The dryer vent outlet must be placed near
the western end of the false beam, in order to be code compliant with the future operable
window planned as part of the Unit 2 remodel approved by CAV and pending before the Aspen
Building Department.
