A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO9
APPROVING THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE GRANTS REVIEW COMMITTEE
AND GRANTS STEERING COMMITTEE TO PROVIDE GRANT SUPPORT TO
NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS SERVING THE ASPEN COMMUNITY.
WHEREAS, the Aspen area is fortunate to have many nonprofit organizations that
support the community, and
WHEREAS, City Council has established an overall program philosophy for the grants
program, supported by strategic focus areas for each grant program; and
WHEREAS, City council has established a grants steering committee to support the
City's grants program; and
WHEREAS, said steering committee has established three volunteer review committees
to assess and sore submitted applications for alignment with the overall grants program
philosophy and strategic focus areas and other review criteria; and
WHEREAS, these volunteer review committees in conjunction with the grants steering
committee, have issued recommendations of funding for the consideration of City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ASPEN, COLORADO,
That the City Council of the City of Aspen hereby approves the total funding
recommendations of $2,186,456 attached hereto as Exhibit A.
RESOLVED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED FINALLY by the City C of the City
of Aspen on the 14th day of April, 2026.
