HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.council.053-26RESOLUTION 4 ) J (Series of 2026) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, APPROVING A CONTRACT AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ASPEN AND ROSENFELD DESIGN AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT AMENDMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council a contract amendment to the professional services contract for the Aspen Recreation Center Facility improvements, between the City of Aspen and Rosenfeld Design, a true and accurate copy of which is attached hereto as Attachment NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, That the City Council of the City of Aspen hereby approves that contract amendment to the professional services contract for the Aspen Recreation Center Facility Improvements, between the City of Aspen and Rosenfeld Design, a copy of which is annexed hereto and incorporated herein, and does hereby authorize the City Manager to execute said amendment on behalf of the City of Aspen. Thank you for your continued confidence in our team for Construction Administration Services. Our hands-on and attentive engagement with the Ownership and Construction team will be vital to the success of the forthcoming renovation. Construction Administration Overview: The Architecture and Engineering team have provided Construction Documents including a Project Manual dated 1 /30/26 and submitted for a Repair Permit on 1 /19/26. The Design team plan to proceed into Construction Administration with weekly OAC meetings, RFIs, Submittals, Site Visits and Project Closeout as described below. Please see the Project Manual dated 1 /30/26 for details regarding RFI, Submittal and Substitution standards and timelines. In addition to reviewing RFIs, Submittals and Substitution Requests, each Professional will provide the services listed below: Architect -Rosenfeld Design Attend weekly OAC meetings from start to completion of the indicated Construction Administration schedule. Provide a site visit each week with accompanying field observation report from 6/1 /26 - 9/30/26 Provide General Contractor payment review and certification. Respond to Building Department Inspection design clarification requests throughout Construction. Closeout Procedures including Final Punch Walks and Issuance of Punch Lists for the Natatorium, Training Pool Interior and Boiler Room renovation. Issuance of Certificate of Substantial Completion, Structural Engineer -IMEG (5) Site Visits total throughout Demolition and Construction Plumbing Engineer -IMEG Boiler Room Matterport Scan prior to Demolition (5j Site Visits total throughout Demolition and Construction Aquatics Engineer - Counsilman Hunsaker (4) Site Visits total, 3 of which are during demolition/construction progress, and 1 dedicated for a final punch walk after all the aquatics work is completed.
