Description:
1. Through IFFR demo we discovered that the structural floor framing for the existing building
runs perpendicular to the assumption made by the structural engineer in some locations. This
requires some minor adjustment to the structural framing in order to accommodate the existing
conditions that we would like to reconcile with the permit.
2. There is a minor mechanical modification where we are removing a small piece of equipment
(toe kick heater), and providing supply air to this same space from equipment already
approved. – this was able to be achieved because of #1 above
3. Through IFFR demo we discovered that the existing wood burning fireplace that we were
planning to re-use in Unit A was in pretty rough shape and we will not be attempting to save
this. We will be replacing with a manufactured fire box and gas log set. The basement gas
fireplace has also been substituted for a similar model. Cut sheets for both have been
submitted with this package and an updated fireplace registration form is being included.
4. There was a minor dimension change to a stair that doesn’t impact FAR or layout
5. We would like to update our W2 wall assembly for unit separation. We included U-305, and we
would like to replace with a very similar assembly GA NO WP 3242 which still meets the sound
and fire rating requirements for the unit separation. The components of the assembly are
essentially the same.
