This document is intended to show compliance of the remodel construction residence located at 621 W.
Francis St. in Aspen, CO with the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code (2015 IECC). We
propose to follow the prescriptive requirements for alterations approach per sections R503.1-R503.2 of
the 2015 IECC.
The project is an existing residence with a total floor area of 3,478 sf. For heat load calculations, please
refer to the following pages of this document. The heat load calculations are performed using the Carrier
Hourly Analysis Program and provides a more detailed and accurate load than Manual J. A dewpoint
calculation is not included in these permit documents, as the roof assembly meets the requirements of
section R806.5 of the 2015 IRC.
