Large holes may require shingling in patched pieces of housewrap. -Use appropriate fasteners per manufacturer's instructions; typically this requires cap fasteners or taped staples -All joints, openings, and penetrations must be taped and sealed. -The bottom course of housewrap must be sealed to the foundation or sill plate (and then the sill plate sealed to the foundation). -The top course of housewrap must be sealed to the sheathing or top plate.
