Mayor Klandemd called the special meeting to order at 5:00 p,m. with
Councilmembers Semrau and Paulson present.
Councilman Semrau moved to read Ordinance #34, Series of 2002; seconded
by Councilman Paulson. All in favor, motion carried.

AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE ASPEN CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, TO GRANT APPROVAL FOR A
SUBDIVISION EXEMPTION FOR AN HISTORIC LANDMARK LOT
SPLIT AT 635 WEST BLEEKER STREET, LOTS Ai B, 'AND C~ BLOCK
24, CITY AND TOWNSITE OF ASPEN
Councilman Semrau moved to adopt Ordinance #34, Series of 2002, on first
reading; seconded by Councilman Paulson. Roll call vote; Councilmembers
Semrau, yes; Paulson, yes; Mayor Klanderud, yes. Motion carried.
DISCUSSIONS WITH U.S. FOREST SERVICE
Jim Upchurch, district ranger, told Council the forest service has been
working on a master plan for public lands and how best to service the
community. They would like to begin these discussion of land trades or
sales in executive session. John Worcester, city attorney, said this fits within
C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(a) the conveyance of public lands for executive sessions.
Councilman Semrau moved to go into executive session at 5:07 p.m.
pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(a); seconded bY Councilman Paulson. All in
favor, motion carried.
Councilman Paulson moved to come out of executive session at 6:55 p.m.;
seconded by Councilman Semrau. All in favor, motion carried.
Councilman Semrau moved to adjourn at 6:55 p.m.; seconded by
Councilman Paulson. All in favor, motion carded.
