STAFF REVIEW: Section 26.470.070.D.l of the Municipal Code provides a GMQS Exemption by the Community Development Director for the "Change in Use" of a designated historic landmark which does not increase the building's existing floor area ratio. The applicant proposes to convert existing office space into a residential unit. In order to grant a GMQS exemption, the Community Development Director must find that the following standard is met: . The change in use does not increase the building's existing floor area ratio, Response: The applicant will renovate the interior of the building, but no alterations which affect existing FAR are planned.
