Mayor Stirling called the continued meeting to order at 4:40 with
Councilmembers Fall in, Isaac
CITY MANAGER DUPLEX
Councilwoman Fallin said the Council should draw up a contract
for 30 days for the duplex because Councilman Collins feels some
of the work that has been done in the duplex needs prices, and to
look at some of the improvements that were no on the cod
requirement list. Bob Anderson told Council the appraisal was
based on items, like woodburning stoves, as amenities. If they
are eliminated, then the value should be reduced. Mayor Stirling
said he likes the approach of having one Councilmember list all
the items in the house and then having the Council approve or
disapprove this list. Council suggested the house be leased to
Anderson until the first of October so these details can be
worked out.
Councilman Isaac moved to table Ordinance #36, Series of 1986, to
September 8, 1986; seconded by Councilwoman Fallin. All in
favor, motion carried.
RED ROOF INNS
Mayor Stirling told Council a representative of the Trueman-
Aspen Company visited the property last week, and would like to
sell it. There is a party interested in buyer the personal
property, and if Red Roof sells the personal property, they would
sell the property back to the city. The city will then try and
sell the property. Mayor Stirling said Red Roof will not be able
to make the payment to the city in September. Mayor Stirling
told Council Dick B utera has done a cash flow analysis and come
up with a value of the property slightly higher than $1,500,000.
Mayor Stirling suggested assigning a staff member to follow up on
the property negotiations.
Councilwoman Fallin moved to adjourn at 4:50 p. m.; seconded by
Councilman Isaac. All in favor, motion carried.
