The Aspen City Council approved Ordinance No. 40 on 12 January 2015. This extension would change the plat filing deadline to 7 January 2016. This request for an extension is made because we continue to work with utility providers to draft and prepare for recordation the easement agreements for existing utilities. The existing utilities have been located on the property for some time without the benefit of an easement. To date, we have received a draft easement agreement from SourceGas and this agreement has been provided to the Pitkin County Attorney's office for their review. We continue to work on revisions and comments with Debbie Quinn and the City Electric Department as well as with representatives from CenturyLink. Final comments from the City are expected this week and we continue to follow up with CenturyLink for their comments. Following receipt of comments, these agreements will be forwarded to the Pitkin County Attorney for final review and acceptance. Your consideration of our efforts to establish an easement area for existing utilities is sincerely appreciated in granting a one hundred eighty (180) day extension.
