A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO,
WITHDRAWING A CERTAIN BALLOT QUESTION SEEKING AUTHORITY TO
SELL CITY OWNED PROPERTY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF DEED
RESTRICTED AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR CITY EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution No. 74, Series of 2003,
submitting to the electorate at the November 4, 2003, special election, a certain ballot
question seeking authority to sell City owned property for the construction of deed restricted
affordable housing, commonly referred to as the "Puppy Smith Project;" and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to withdraw that question from the ballot; and
WHEREAS, the City Council understands that the ballots for the November 4, 2003;
special election have been printed and it is too late print new ballot questions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, THAT:
City of Aspen Referendum 2D, "Authorization to Sell Property Commonly Known
as the Puppy Smith Property," is hereby withdrawn from the ballot at the November 4,
2003, special election, and the City Clerk is hereby instructed that all votes cast for the ballot
question shall not be counted as said votes shall be considered as invalid for any purpose.
