Schilling and acknowledge his important contribution to the
evolution and growth of the City of Aspen. He had a no nonsense
style yet was always assertive and fair. He brought ties back
into vogue, and the baby blue twill jumpsuits as official agency
head uniforms will long be appreciated. He not only managed and
delegated skillfully but also worked effectively on his own
projects. He understood the Charter and the appropriate
relationship with the City Council which separated him from the
political thicket. We wish him and his family luck in his next
position. He was an asset to our community.
