HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.council.014-88 RESOLUTION NO. /~ (Series of 1988) A RESOLUTION CALLING A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD AUGUST 9, 1988 WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized by Section 2.2. of the Aspen Home Rule Charter to call a special election by resolution providing that it do so at least sixty (60) days in advance of the same; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to call a special election for August 9, 1988, for the purpose of submitting to the electors questions concerning the use of City-owned property for employee housing purposes, the implementation of a 1/4 penny sales tax to support a parking structure to be located on the Rio Grande property, use of the Zoline property for golf course purposes, as well as such other questions as the City Council may hereafter deem appropriate. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1 That it does hereby call a special election to be held on Tuesday, August 9, 1988, for the purpose of submitting to the electors questions concerning the use of City-owned property for employee housing purposes, the implementation of a 1/4 penny sales tax to support a parking structure to be located on the Rio Grande property, use of the Zoline property for golf course City Hall renovation, ice skating facilities and snow melt facilities, as well as such other questions as the City Council may hereafter deem appropriate to submit to the electors.
