ROARING FORK TRANSIT AGENCY BOARD
PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO
Resolution No. 89-2
A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A HIGH OCCUPANCY
VEHICLE/BUS LANE BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ROARING FOR
TRANSIT AGENCY
WHEREAS, the Roaring Fork Transit Agency provides year-round
public transportation services both within the City of Aspen and
throughout the Roaring Fork Valley, and
WHEREAS, the Roaring Fork Trans i t Agency is concerned wi th
the safety, health and welfare of both the riding public and the
citizens and visitors to this valley, and
WHEREAS, Board of Directors of the Roaring Fork Transit
Agency at their regular ly scheduled meet ing held on January 5,
1989, went on record in support the implementation of a high-
occupancy-vehicle/bus lane between the Maroon Creek Bridge and
Castle Creek Bridge, as recommended in the Transportation Develop-
ment Plan, and
WHEREAS, the Aspen City Council and Board of County Commis-
sioners at a joint meeting held on January 30, 1989, were requested
by the Board of Directors of the Roaring Fork Transit Agency to
lend their support to said project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Aspen City Council and
Board of County Commissioners, Pitkin County, Colorado that:
It is the desire of both the Aspen City Council and Board of
County Commissioners to go on record in support of the implement-
ation of the H-O-V/bus lane between the Maroon Creek Bridge and
Castle Creek Bridge as recommended in the Transportation Develop-
ment Plan.
INTRODUCED J READ AND PASSED by the Aspen Ci ty Counci 1 and
Board of County Commissioners, Pitkin County, Colorado at their
regular meetings held respectively on February 13, 1989 and
Feburary 14, 1989.
