JUSTIFICATION FOR COURSE IN OFFICE
Serving 4th two-year term, duly elected by the people in May

conscientiousness, and acted ethically and fairly. Cannot please
everyone, but have always acted in what I believe to best inter-
est of my citizens and City of Aspen. Honest and straightforward
about my political positions. Recall petition makes unsubstan-
tiated, false, libelous charges. Recall should be used for
malfeasance, not difference of opinion. Mayor is up for re-
election soon: November 1990. It is in the best interest of
good government and democratic process to allow me to serve out
my term.
