Y Series of 1995 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, APPOINTING WILLIAM EFTING ACTING CITY MANAGER DURING THE IMPENDING ABSENCE OF THE CITY MANAGER DUE TO MATERNITY LEAVE. WHEREAS, the City Manager, Amy Margerum, has indicated a desire to take three (3) months of maternity leave from her duties immediately preceding and following the impending birth of her child; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the City Manager is entitled to three (3) months of maternity leave in accordance with the City's Personnel Policies and Procedures manual; and WHEREAS, Section 6.2 of the City Charter of the City of Aspen authorizes the City Council to appoint an Acting City Manager during a period of vacancy in the office, or during the absence or disability of the City Manager; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint William Efting as Acting City Manager during the City Manager's absence. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: That the City Council of the City of Aspen hereby appoints William Efting the Acting City Manager for the City of Aspen with all the powers and duties attendant to that office as set forth at Section 6.3 of the City Charter of the City of Aspen during the period of time beginning on the date that the City Manager begins her maternity leave and terminating three (3) months thereafter. wc'.", ' ,. , \\ "\;" i_ n" It "< '., \. - INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Aspen on the ~~ day of ~tt/c..y, 1995. ~ 5.
