HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.council.006-95 - (-.: ~1~ RESOLUTION NO. f.", Series of 1995 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, AUTHORIZING D.L SMITH, THE FINANCE DIRECTOR, AND STEVE BARWICK, THE ASSIST ANT CITY MANAGER, TO EXECUTE TRANSACTION REQUESTS WITH RESPECT TO U.S. TREASURY SECURITIES MAINTAINED BY THE CITY OF ASPEN IN ACCOUNT NUMBER 4800-233-5353. WHEREAS, the U.S. Treasury requires entities maintaining security accounts with the U. S. Treasury to adopt a resolution for the disposition of securities authorizing signatories to execute transactions; and WHEREAS, the City of Aspen does maintain account number 4800-233-5353 with the D.S. Treasury for certain treasury direct securities; and WHEREAS, the U.S. Treasury requires that Form PD F 5189 entitled "Resolution for Disposition of Securities n be executed to certify that specific individuals are authorized to . execute said transaction requests, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize D.J. Smith, the Finance Director, and Steve Barwick, the Assistant City Manager, to execute transaction requests with respect to securities held by the City in account number 4800-233-5353 with the U.S. Treasury. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: That D.J. Smith, the Finance Director, and Steve Barwick, the Assistant City Manager, are hereby authorized to execute transaction requests, including the payment instructions, with respect to all securities maintained by the City of Aspen with the U.S. Treasury in account ~e number 4800-233-5353.
