Revised Engineering Services Proposal
Development of Benedict River Trail and Bridge
Dear Mr. Robinson:
This is to submit revised proposal terms for subject project, based on discussions since our initial submittal of
July 17, 1995. The revised information is as follows;
Proposal
- Bid Form
- Opitz Engineers
- Work Scope and Cost Estimate
- Project Schedule
- Benedict Trail and Bridge Project
Professional Services Rate Schedule
Qualificatious - Unchanged from original submittal
The proposal is modified to change the Professional from Rocky Mountain Engineers, inc., 115 originally
sabmitted, to Opitz Engineers, as required by insurance conditions.
The Work Scope has been modified to clarify the intent ofbB5ic work scope compared with changed conditions,
The schedule has been adjusted to reflect the delay in llWarding the contract. The schedule mould be considered
as preliminary, with the expectation that timing and duration of individual line items will vary. However, the
basic intent is to complete all work within the control of Opitz Engineers in a timely manner that allows for right-
of-way acquisition procedures and substantial completion of construction during the 1996 season.
This revised propogal is limited to the Planning, Design. and PermitlRight-of-way phases of the project. The
Professional Services Rate.schedule is revised to reflect the unique conditions of the project Estimated costs are
$83,000, with a contingenCy allowance of $16,000, for a total budget of$99,ooO. We propose to perform tlte
w,ark as defined in the attached Work Scope on an hourly rate basis, subject to a ceiling limit of $99,000. Hourly
rates, payment, and collection terms would be as listed on the attached "Benedict Trail and Bridge Project,
Professional Services Rate Schedule".
Opitz Engineers will procure professionalliabllity insurance in response to the> needs of this project, with a
liability limit Of $500,000. Opitz Engineers will commit to maintain this insurance in furce for a minimum of
three years from the start of this project We can only agree to indemnify and hold Aspen harmless against
