WHEREAS, Stephen R. Ehrlich is an attorney licensed in the State of Colorado (Reg. No. 8265)
and practicing law in Denver, Colorado; and
WHEREAS, said Stephen R. Ehrlich has requested a one-day appointment by the City Council of
the City of Aspen as a Deputy Municipal Judge in order to officiate at a wedding; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has the power to malce such an appointment, pursuant to Section
7.2(b) of the Charter of the City of Aspen;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
That said Stephen R. Ehrlich be and hereby is appointed a Deputy Judge of the Municipal Court of
ee City of Aspen, Colorado, without compensation, for the day of August 24, 1997, for the sole purpose
of officiating at the marriage of Dina C. Belmonte and John P. Bozza.

RE: Request for City Council Approval for Resolution to Conduct Wedding
Dear Ms. Koch:
Thank: you for talcing the time to spealc with me last week and for your help and
continuing guidance in this matter.

I am a full time practicing attorney, duly licensed and in good standing,
continuously for the last twenty years. My Colorado Supreme Court attorney registration
number is 8265. While my office is in Denver, I have partly resided in Aspen for many
years and have appeared regularly in the Pitkin County Court.
I wish to conduct a wedding on August 24, 1997 within the City of Aspen for my
dear friends, Mr. John P. Bozza and Ms. Dina C. Belmonte. They are long time residents
of Aspen. They currently occupy unit 29 at 101 Lone Pine Road.
Please present this request to the Aspen City Council at the next regularly
scheduled meeting and please return to me the paperwork authorizing their approval of a
temporary and limited judicial appointment or other resolution in order to conduct this
wedding. I enclose a pre-paid and addressed envelope for your convenience.
