A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO,
GRANTING A HISTORIC PROPERTY MAINTENANCE LOAN.
WHEREAS, Section 26.72.060(C) provides City Council with the ability to grant a
one-time, no interest loan, in an amount not to exceed $10,000, to the owner of a historic
property to assist in maintenance costs; and
WHEREAS, Don and Ann Pevehouse, owners of the historic property at 213 West
Bleeker Street; have requested a loan in order to repaint the exterior of the house; and
WHEREAS, the project cost is $3,650; and

WHEREAS, City Council supports the loan award in an effort to assist owners of
historic properties with the associated maintenance costs and in order to avoid the
occurrence of "demolition by neglect."
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ASPEN, COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1
That a one-time, no interest loan in the amount of $3,650 be awarded to Don and
Ann Pevehouse, owners of 213 West Bleeker Street.
Section 2
That the applicant shall provide the Community Development Director with receipts
from all work completed as part of this loan.
Section 3
That the loan is to be repaid in full within ten years or when the title is transferred,
whichever is sooner. An appropriate lien will be recorded on the property to ensure
repayment, and the owner is aware of this recorded lien requirement.
