HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.council.075-97 RESOLUTION NO. 3:'5 Series of 1997 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, ACCEPTING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE GROWTH MANAGEMENT COMMISSION TO DESIGNATE THE ASPEN IDGHLANDS BASE VILLAGE PUD AN EXCEPTIONAL PROJECT THAT IS ELIGffiLE FOR AND SHOULD BE GRANTED METRO AREA MULTI YEAR )'lESIDENTIAL ALLOTMENTS WHEREAS, on August 26, 1997, the Growth Management Commission (hereafter, GMC) held a duly noticed public hearing at which time evidence and testimony were presented with respect to an application from Hines/Aspen Highlands Base Village to be designated an exceptional project that should be eligible for and should receive Metro Area multi-year residential allotments. WHEREAS, the GMC scored the application based on the following criteria in Section 3-160.50 of the Pitkin County Land Use Code: · Revitalizing the permanent community; . Providing transportation alternatives; · Promoting environmentally sustainable development; · Maintaining design quality, historic compatibility and community character. WHEREAS, the Aspen Highlands Village request exceeded the minimum threshold score of three points in all four ofthe scoring categories. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 4-60.65 (B) (3) (g) of the Pitkin County Land Use Code, the GMC's scores were forwarded by resolution to the Council at a regular meeting with a recommendation that the Council accept the scores. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that it hereby accepts the recommendation ofthe GMC finding the Aspen Highlands Base Village PUD an exceptional project that is eligible for and that should receive Metro Area multi-year residential allotments.
