Survey work performed by me, or under my direction. have
reviewed the descriptions and declare them to be correct to the
best of my knowledge and belief.
Any changes, additions, or deletions of any part of a description
will act to void any responsibility, express or implied, that I
may have toward that description and subject Property/Easement.
It is my understanding of the Law that any responsibility
relieved of me by the making of a change will automatically flow
to the party responsible for the changing of the description.
You will find the descriptions are in the following order:
1) The first descriptions are for Parcel "A". You will
find two (2) descriptions. The short description is
for the Parcel only, the second, (three pages), or long

John and John: In you mail you should b~th receive a draft "Lot Lil1eAgjustment Plat" for the youth center
transfer. I included some other clean-up Items on the survey work and there are 5 transfers total, 3 between
city and county, These are things we probably should have done at th~ time of developing that area,
Other than the youth center, the plat includes transferring the elevator to the city garage to the city (its now on
county land) and the dedication of the county portion of the turnaround to the Galena ROVV. The City to City
transfers clean up old plating of Galena ROW to reflect the turn arollnd..
To the extent you both are ok with this plat or have agreed upon changes, I can have mylars made for
recording. I included ordinance language in the signature blocks on the plat, although I don't know if you both
need ordinances, .
If the t~of you want to meet with me, I'd be happy to go over the 5 parcels.

The approved language for the dedication and acceptance certificates for the YOtlth
Center Lot Line Adjustment plat will be forthcoming as soon as I can confirm the
language with Pitkin County. Following are the amendments and necessary de,scriptions
that we t~lked about over the phone.
1. Show all of Rio Grande Lot 4 and 5 with the as~oci:lt~dea~ernents, etc,
2. Include on the'plat a metes and bounds description of the area being added to Rio
Grande Lot #4 from Pitkin Center#l (Area "A"). Also include this description
under separate cover. Label this area."Ar~<l A."
3. Include on the plat a metes and bounds description of the area being added to Rio
Grande Lot #2 from Pitkin Center #1 (Area "B"). Also include this description
under separate cover. Label this area "Area B."
4. Include on the plat a metes and bOUllds description of the area that is being
dedicated by Pitkin County to the Galena Street ROW (Area"C"). Also include
this description under separate cover. Label this area, "Area C."
5. A metes and bound description of the utility and trail easements on Pitkin Center
#1. A center line de~cription with a total width description is sufficient.

Rio GrandelPitkin Center Lot Line Adjustment Plat
A. Preparation of a draft "Lot Line Adjustment plat" between the Rio Grande Subdivision and the Pitkin
County Center Subdivision to demonstrate the following:
1. "Lot # 2" of Pitkin County Center Subdivision to become part of "Lot #4" of Rio Grande Subdivision.
2. "Lot #3" of Pitkin County Center Subdivision to become part of "Lot #2" of Rio Grande Subdivision.
3. Amend Galena Street ROW to coincide with radius ofturn-arOl..md. Eliminate leftover sections of
Galena north of turn-around an include them in Rio Grande Lot #2.
4. Include signature blocks for BOCC as owner and approving amendments, City of Aspen (Mayor) as
owner and approving amendments, Community Development Director.
5. Eliminate signature blocks for "City Planner" and "Planriing and Zoning approval."
Notes:
o Amendments refer to draft plat, Drawing No. 2-106, attached.
o The plat only needs to show affected lots, not entire Subdivision. (Lots #2, and #4 of Rio Grande
only.)
B. Submittal of 5 blue line copies of draft plat to City Planning Department. (Attn. Chris Bendon.)

At the end of 1997, Engineering was to prepare a survey of the land around
the Youth Center so we could get subdivision approval prior to the County
conveying their ownership in the land. My notes indicate that you were to
ask Buetnner to doa survey. Can you check with Chuck to determine if that
was done? If so, can I have the survey work so we can start a subdivision
approval process? Thanks

Before Stan left he was to start a subdivision application for this parcel.
Do you know if he ever didi it? I suspect not. If not, can you start the
process by getting a letter from the County granting the City permission to
file an application for subdivision approval? Thanks
