HomeMy WebLinkAboutminutes.hpc.19971022ASPEN HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION MINUTES OF October 22, 1997 Meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by chairperson Suzannah Reid. Present were Susan Dodington, Mark Onorowski, Melanie Roschko, Gilbert Sanchez and Heidi Friedland. Excused were Roger Moyer and Mary Hirsch. Jeffrey Halferty was seated at 5:15. Commissioner comments The Board requested a letter to be sent to 303 E. Main regarding the failure to follow an approval. They also requested that the Assistant City Attorney address the issue of an ordinance to incorporate fines when conditions are not complied with. Amy stated that n the future more conditions will be included in approvals. 633 W. Main - Public Hearing - variance Suzannah stepped down. Mark chaired the meeting. Mark stated that this agenda item was brought before HPC a few weeks ago and it was recommended to paint the trim out. This is the public hearing on that same variance. The affidavit of notice was presented to the Assistant City Attorney and David Hoefer stated that the HPC had jurisdiction to proceed. Mark opened the public hearing, no comments. The public hearing was then closed. Amy displayed to the HPC photographs from the Aug. 24, 1997 meeting which indicate the exact appearance of the shed. Mark informed the HPC that the recommendation from the last meeting was to paint the trim the same color as the siding. He stated that the box looks better than meters hanging on the wall. Suzannah opened the public hearing, no comments. Melanie moved to continue the public hearing and conceptual of114 Neale gve. until Nov. 12, 1997; second by defJhey, gll in favor, motion carried. Worksession on a garage. Melanie moved to withdraw the continued public hearing and review part of the project; second by defJhey. ,411 in favor, motion carried. Heidi moved to grant conceptual approval for the carport as represented on exhibit I; second by Melanie. All in favor, motion carried. Heidi moved to table the rest of the conceptual approval until Nov. 12, 1997; second by Melanie. All in favor, motion carried. 334 W. Hallam - worksession 414 N.
