HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.council.068-04 RESOLUTION NO. 68 (Series of 2004) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN~ COLORADO, SUBMITTING TO THE ELECTORATE OF THE CITY OF ASPEN A CERTAIN QUESTION RELATING TO THE REPEAL OF SECTION 1 OF O~INANCE NO. 4, SERIES OF 2004 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING FINAL LAND USE APPROVALS (INCLUDING REZONING) AND GRANTING A DEVELOPMENT ORDER FOR THE VISITOR CENTER COWOP PROJECT. WHEREAS, a referendum petition seeking the repeal of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 4, Series of 2004, (rezoning the affected parcel) has been determined to be sufficient by the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, the City Council pursuant to Section 5.6 of the City Charter did reconsider the adoption of Ordinance No. 4, Series of 2004; and WHEREAS, the City Council determined to Submk the proposed referred ordinance to the voters; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, THAT: Section 1. The following question, seeking the repeal of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 4, Series of 2004, shall be placed on the ballot at the City' s special election to be held on November 2, 2004. REFERENDUM - REPEAL VISITOR CENTER COWOP ZONING Shall Section 1 of Ordinance No. 4, Series of 2004, which section seeks to amend the Official Zone District Map of the City of Aspen by imposing a Planned Unit Development (PUD) overlay on the property located at the northwest corner of Galena Street and Main Street (commonly known as the Visitor Center COWOP Project), be repealed?
