HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.council.107-04RESOLUTION # 107 (Series of 2004) A RESOLUTION ADOPTING ANNIE MITCHELL HOMESTEAD AS THE OFFICIAL NAME FOR THE BURLINGAME RANCH SUBDIVISION LOT 3 (AKA PARCEL D) AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECT WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council a list of names for the Burlingame Ranch Subdivision Lot 3 (aka Parcel D), which list has passed the test of the emergency services department to prevent confusion with similar names, and WHEREAS, Annie Mitchell received a homestead in 1896 signed by President Grover Cleveland for a parcel of land of approximately 156 acres that later became a part of the Burlingame Ranch, and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to honor an early woman pioneer of the Aspen Area; and WHEREAS, this will facilitate the filing of the condominium plat and associated documents and will lessen the confusion with any other potential projects at the Burlingame Ranch. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1 That the City Council of the City of Aspen hereby adopts "Annie Mitchell Homestead"'as the name for the project located at Burlingame Ranch Subdivision, Lot 3 (aka Parcel D) affordable housing project.
