PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF A8PEN
(EAST MEADOW-JUKATI ANNEXATION)
We, the undersigned, being the landowners of more than 50%
of the area, excluding public streets and alleys, meeting the
requirements of sections 31-12-104 and 31-12-105, C.R.8., allege
as follows:
1. It is desirable and necessary that the area hereinafter
described be annexed to the City of Aspen.
2. The requirements of 8ections 31-12-104 and 31-12-105,
C.R.8., exist or have been met.
3. The signers of the petition comprise the landowners of
more than 50% of the territory included in the area proposed to
be annexed, exclusive of streets and alleys.
4. The legal.description of the area to be annexed is as
follows:
The East Meadow and Jukati Annexation is comprised of
the lands of East Meadow Subdivision and the Jukati
8ubdivision. The boundary of said annexation is more
fully described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeasterly angle point in the
boundary of East Meadow 8ubdivision whence Corner 2 of
the Riverside Placer, U.S.M.S. 3905 AM bears North 75
42'40" East, 335.69 feet; thence North 81 30' West,
344.38 feet along the Northerly boundary of East Meadow
Subdivision, as recorded in the office of the Pitkin
County Clerk and Recorder in Plat Book 3 at Page 99,
to the Northwesterly corner thereof, being also the
Easterly right-of-way of Midland Avenue as located in
the City of Aspen, and the Easterly boundary of the
Riverside Annexation to the City of Aspen as shown on
the annexation plat recorded in the office of the
Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder in Ditch Book 2A at
Page 284; thence. South 04 54' East, 242.13 feet along
the Easterly right-of-way of Midland Avenue, and
Easterly boundary of the Riverside Annexation, being
the Westerly boundaries of East Meadow Subdivision and
Jukati Subdivision, Jukati Subdivision being recorded
in the office of the Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder
in Plat Book 3 at Page 310, to the 80uthwesterly corner
of Jukati Subdivision; thence departing the City
boundary of Aspen and following the 80utherly boundary
of Jukati Subdivision South 80 26' East, 190.00 feet

and South 73 31'30" East, 185.14 feet to the South-
easterly corner thereof; thence Northerly along the
Easterly boundaries of Jukati and East Meadow 8ubdivi-
sions North 14 13' East, 60.06 feet and North 15 27'
West, 224.14 feet to the point of beginning, containing
89,925.84 square feet, more or less.
5. A proposed annexation map is attached as Exhibit "A".
6. As an inducement to the City of Aspen to approve the
annexation, the undersigned hereby declare their intent to
dedicate to the City any and all interest the undersigned may
have in the water rights appearing on Exhibit "B" annexed hereto
and incorporated herein; and the undersigned hereby agree that as
a condition to the adoption of the applicable annexation ordin-
ance, the undersigned will deliver any and all documents
requested by the City of Aspen, in addition to this petition,
evidencing the dedication of any interest the undersigned may
have in said water rights.
7. The undersigned request that the City of Aspen approve
the annexation of the area proposed to be annexed.

Grove, Eastwood, and Knollwood, attached hereto and made a part

Executive Assistant to the City Manager, my true and lawful
attorney and in my name, place and stead to perform any acts
necessary, advisable, convenient or conducive to accomplish the
annexation of the above-described property to the City of Aspen,
including signing the attached Annexation Petition on my behalf.
I hereby declare that any act or thing lawfully done
hereunder by my said attorney shall be binding upon me, my heirs,
legal and personal representatives, and assigns.
This power of attorney shall continue in force and may be
accepted and relied upon by anyone to which it is presented
despite my purported revocation of it or my death, until actual
written notice of such event is received by such person.
