Mr. Leon Wurl, City Administrator
City of Aspen
Box V
Aspen, Colorado 81611
Dear Leon:
I have examined the unsigned Petition for Annex-
ation of property adjacent and contiguous to the
North Side Annexation. The wording of the Petition is
proper although I obviously cannot comment on the des-
cription. However, I suggest that it be checked to
see that it is accurate. Also, I cannot comment on
the names of the owners of the property within the area
proposed to be annexed.
As we discussed this morning, I think it would be
a good idea to confirm the names of the property owners.
I believe it would be wise at this time to prepare
affidavits for the circulators of the petitions in accor-
dance with C.R.S. 1963, l39-2l-6(d) (x). As you know,
each petition should be accompanied by 4 prints of the
annexation map containing the information required in
C.R.S. 1963, l39-2l-6(e) (i-v).
This then should satisfy the statutory require-
ments for a petition when filed with the Clerk.
