PETITION FOR ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO
Date Petition Filed: May 20, 1968
We, the undersigned, being the landowners of one
hundred percent (100%) of the land contained within the
exterior boundaries of the territory hereinafter described
to hereby respectfully petition the City Council of the
City of Aspen, Colorado to annex said area to the City of
Aspen, Colorado, and state the following allegations:
1. It is desirable and necessary that said
territory be annexed to the City of Aspen, Colorado.
2. The requirements of Sections 3 and 4 of the
Municipal Annexation Act of 1965 are fully met.
3. The undersigned are the owners of one hundred
percent (100%) of the property proposed to be annexed.
4. The following is a legal description of the
boundaries of the area proposed to be annexed:
Lot 43, West Aspen Subdivision, Pitkin County
Colorado.

The following motion was made by the Planning and Zoning
Commission at their public hearing held on July 9th relating to the
above mentioned subject:
"Barnard made a motion to recommend to the City Council
R-15 zoning as the land was zoned in the County. Seconded by
Whitaker. Roll call vote - Whitaker aye; Barnard aye; Tharp
aye; Benninghoff aye.
