F 77)- i / Lriay 2, 1966. Aspen City Council, Aspen, Colorado. Gentlemen, Yic As 'en Planning and. Zoning Coffaiission has considered the request by Tony Beriunen for annexation to the City of Aspen. TI-e Commission believes that before any P.irthor annexation should be considered, a street plan for this area should be worked out. lViany of the streets in this area are below the standards set forth in the Ci'U-yts subdivision reg—uJations, and a few are not even dedicated rights -of -ways, including streets already inside the City limits. The Cafnimission requests that the City Council authorize the preparation of a map showing the existing streets and rights -of —rays, and an overlay map showing the recatw-endations of the City Engineer to bring tIlle streets up to acceptable standards. We wish to call to your attention Sections 139-59-17 through 139-59-24 of the Planning and Zoning Statutes as a basis for our recommendation., Respectf ifily., Aspen PlanninY, ---n(i Zoning Commission, 7z Ojo Francis -Whitaker, Chairman, U It ham^ Leer. 3&ne t1me since pellt!ar 1hr-&me3mtior of the .5urmy Park: OuWlvirious present;id to the ::ity of ..spec: =- -.d ref : curse to the t; z--yeAn- CO.:xasior.
