MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 2~ 2005
Chairperson, Bill Dinsmoor called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
Commissioners in attendance: Mark Goodman and Terry Butler. Excused were John
Start, Marc Breslin, Don Sheeley, Shea Singer, Stan Hajenga
John Francis from Chipeta reported on information that he received from the
Thunderbird Show in Scottsdale Arizona. They have a panel of 8 judges.
Some towns require x amount of space for non-profit.
Flat wall art - photography 25%
Fiber and leather 10%
Sculpture 10% to 15%
Ceramics 20%
Jewelers 15%
Miscelaneous extra
John said the board needs to be more discerning about categories.
On the 16th the CCLC will make the first cuts.
The board said if we need to see the artists product they can drop it off at the clerk's
department and the board can review it.
There was a discussion of the market scoring application which will be attached to each
applicant.
The board discussed shared booths. An artist can apply for a shared booth $330. every
other week. The intent is to have the booth covered each week.
