AN ORDINANCE REZONING A NEWLY ANNEXED PARCEL OF LAND cOMMONLY
KNOWN AS THE THOMAS PROPERTY AND CONTAINING THIRTY-NINE (39)
ACRES MORE OR LESS TO "C" CONSERVATION
WHEREAS, the city Council has recently purchased the
Thomas Property and annexed the same to the city, and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to rezone such tract to
permit its use for conservation uses as described in the "C"
Conservation Zoning District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ASPEN:
Section 1
That the parcel of land described in the Exhibit A
attached hereto and incorporated by this reference, containing
39.203 acres more or less, be and hereby is rezoned "C" Conserv-
ation and enjoy and be limited by all the elements of such
designation as they are described in Chapter 24 of the Aspen
Municipal Code.
Section 2
If any provision of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provisions or applications, and to this end the provisions or
applications of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 3
That a public hearing be held on this ordinance on

such hearing notice of the same be published once in a newspaper
of general circulation within the city.
