AN ORDINANCE RECOGNIZING REVENUES TO AND EXPENDITURES FROM
THE POLICE PENSION AND EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT FUNDS; SPECIFICAL-
LY RECOGNIZING STATE, EMPLOYEE AND EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTIONS AND
EXPENDITURES FOR LIFE INSURANCE COSTS, REFUNDS OF EMPLOYEE
CONTRIBUTIONS AND PENSION PAYMENTS; AND DECLARING THAT AN
EMERGENCY EXISTS REQUIRING IMMEDIATE ENACTMENT
WHEP~AS, 'the end of the year requires adjustments in
the police and city employee pension funds, all of which must
be accomplished before the end of this calendar year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1
That revenues be recognized in and expenditures be
approved for the Employee Retirement Fund as follows:

Employee Contributions
Employer Contributions
Forfeits of Employee Contributions
Refunds of Employee Contributions

Section 3
If any provision of this ordinance or the application there-
of to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity
shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance

which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or
applications, and to this end the provisions or applications of
this ordinance are declared to be severable.

That it is hereby declared that an emergency exists
requiring the immediate adoption of this ordinance inasmuch as
all budget ordinances for 1975 revenues and expenditures must be
fully approved by the City's governing body before the end of this
calendar year; that this ordinance be approved only by the unanimous
vote of councilmen present or a vote of five councilmen, whichever
is less; that this ordinance be passed at two meetings of council;
that neither a public hearing nor first publication be required;
that this ordinance be published within ten (1) days after final
passage, and that it take effect upon final passage.
INTRODUCED AND READ by the Aspen City Council at its
regular meeting held Monday, December 2~975.
