HomeMy WebLinkAboutordinance.council.008-79RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS ORDINANCE NO. ~_~ (Series of 1979) AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A VEHICLE LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ASPEN AND IFG LEASING COMPANY WHICH LEASE IS FOR A TERM OF 36 MONTHS AND PROVIDES F©R AN ANNUAL RENTAL PAYMENT OF $3,704.29 WHEREAS, the City Council is required, by reason of Section 10.8 of the home rule charter, to ratify all long-term rental agreements by ordinance, and it wishes to do so with respect to such outstanding agreement between the City of Aspen and IFG Leasing Company, ?~OW, ~tiEREFORE, YE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: Section 1 That it does hereby ratify and approve that vehicle lease agreement between the City of Aspen and IFG Leasing Company providing for the leasing of a 1979 Melroe Loader with 60" dirt bucket, Model #M610, Serial Number 16888, under the following terms and conditions: Term of rental: 36 months Annual Rental: $3,704.29 Insurance to b~ maintained by the City with a $1,000.00 deductible for property loss or damage and such other common contract provisions as are specified in the agreement itself (on file in the office of the Director of Finance of the City of Aspen). Section 2 If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
