AN ORDINANCE INCREASING AND DECREASING APPROPRIATIONS
WITHIN THE SIXTH PENNY SALES TAX FUND IN THE CITY OF ASPEN
BUDGET YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1974; AND DECLARING THAT AN
EMERGENCY EXISTS REQUIRING I~DIATE ENACTMENT
WHEREAS, the City Manager has requested a supplemental
appropriation within the Sixth Penny Sales Tax Special Revenue
Fund with a corresponding decrease in appropriations as here-
inafter described, and
WHEREAS, the City of Aspen must complete its appropri-
ation procedures before the close of the 1974 calendar year,
and enactment by emergency ordinance is required pursuant
to Section 4.11 of the Aspen City Charter,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1.
That the following adjustments be made within the Sixth
Penny Sales Tax Special Revenue Fund:
Sixty Penny Sales Tax Fund A_ppropriations
Expenditures
Revenues
Increase Appropriation for
Transfer to General Fund $ 19,445.00
Decrease Revenue for Reduction in
Transfers from Seventh Penny 11,600.00
Decrease Appropriations for Food Tax Refund $ 17,400.00
Increase Anticipated Revenues 13,645.00
Section 2.
By reason of the fact that the City must complete appropri-
ation procedures before the close of the 1974 calendar year, it

is hereby declared that an emergency exists and that this
ordinance is necessary to the immediate preservation of the
public property, health, peace and safety, and that it shall
be in full force and effect upon final passage and be pub-
lished within ten (10) days after final passage, or as soon
thereafter as possible.
Section 3.
If any provision of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the in-
valid provisions or applications, and to this end the
provisions or applications of this ordinance are declared
to be severable.
INTRODUCED, READ AND APPROVED on first reading as
provided by law by the Aspen City Council at its ccntinued
regular meeting held Friday, December 13, 1974.
