HomeMy WebLinkAboutordinance.council.022-72RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 100 Leaves ORDINANCE NO. ~c~ (Series of 1972) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, DATED APRIL 3, 1967, AS AMENDED, TO REZONE THOSE CERTAIN AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF ASPEN KNOWN AS "FREDDIE FISHER PARK" AND "UTE CEMETERY" WHEREAS, following receipt of an application from the Pitkin County Park Association, by Resolution dated October 17, 1972 the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that the following-described parcel of real property owned by said Pitkin County Park Association be rezoned from R-6 Residential to P-Park, to wit: A tract of land situated in the Riverside Placer, U.S.M.S. No. 3905, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at Corner No. 1; thence S0°14,W 338.0 feet to Corner No. 2; thence N75°30,W 65.0 feet to Corner No. 3, center of river; thence northerly along center of Roaring Fork River to Corner No. 4-the intersection of said center line with a line produced S85°04,W from Corner No. 1; thence N85°04,E 79.0 feet to Corner No. 1, containing .42 acres, City of Aspen, County of Pitkin, State of Colorado. AND WHEREAS, following receipt of an application from the City of Aspen, by Resolution dated October 17, 1972 the Aspen Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that the following- described parcel of real property owned by said City of Aspen and known as Ute Cemetery be rezoned from AR-1 Accommodations Recreation-Urban to P-Park, to wit: A tract of land being a part of Tract B (41) Aspen Townsite Addition Sec. 18,T. 10 S,R. 84 W, 6PM (plat approved May 21, 1957) and the Helen C. Bird entry (plat approved December 22, 1891) described as follows: Beginning at Cot. 9 of Tract B (41)(a 1954 brass cap); thence N0°21,E 917.52 feet along 8-9 Tract B(41) to the inter- section with the South line of Calderwood Sub- division as monumented; thence S61°27,E 83.79 feet along the South line of Calderwood Subdivision to the centerline of the Roaring Fork River; thence S15°35'W 149.64 feet along the centerline of the Roaring Fork River; thence S23°15,E 222.00 feet RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS 1 O0 Leaves along the centerline of the Roaring Fork River; thence Si°40,W 156.00 feet along the centerline of the Roaring Fork River; thence S36°35,E 135.00 feet along the centerline of the Roaring Fork River to the intersection with line Il-10 of Tract B (41); thence South 268.13 feet along line 11-10 Tract B (41) to Corner 10 of Tract B (41) also being Corner 9 of 3905 AM Riverside Placer (a sandstone rock in place); thence S38© 10'W 158.12 feet; thence N60°24,W 125.00 feet; thence N3°21,E 65.80 feet to ~e point of beginning, containing 3.03 acres more or less, City of Aspen, Coun~ of Pitkin, State of Colorado. NOW, the City of Aspen, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Colorado: Section 1. The Zoning District Map of the City of Aspen, Colorado, dated April 3, 1967, as amended, is hereby amended to rezone the hereinabove described parcels of land known respectively as "Freddie Fisher Park" and "Ute Cemetery" to P-Park.
