ORDINANCE REQUIRING CONTROL OF EMISSIONS FROM RESTAURANT GRILLS
BY iNCINERATION OR CONDENSING WITH METHODS APPROVED BY THE
COUNTY AIR POLLUTION AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Aspen is experiencing continued air
pollution detrimental to the health and welfare of its residentS
much of which can be eliminated by appropriate regulation, and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Health Air Pollution
Control Division in its ,'Pitkin County Air Quality Impact
Report" of August 1973 concluded that to insure maintenance of
State and Federal Air Quality Standards in the Aspen area that
restaurant rill emissIons must be substantially reduced, now

Section 2.

emissions, in the opinion cf said County authority, exemption
can be granted by the same.
Section 3.
Phrsuant to section 1, emissions from restaurant grills

of 0.3 seconds.

Section 4.
If any provision of this ordinance or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such
invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or applications and to this end the provisions or
applications of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 5.
A ~ahlic hearing on the ordinance shall be held on

Chambers, City Hall Building, Aspen, Colorado.
