AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ASPEN,
COLORADO OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY OR REAL ESTATE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, LYING OUTSIDE OF, BUT ADJACENT TO
THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
WHEREAS, a Petition for the annexation was filed
with the City Clerk of the City of Aspen on February 8, 1971
requesting the annexation of the territory hereinafter describ-
ed, which Petition meets all of the requirements of the applic-
able section of the "Colorado Municipal Annexation Act of 1965"
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aspen passed
and adopted a Resolution on April 12, 1971 accepting said
Petition for annexation, and resolving that said property be
annexed by ordinance; and,
WHEREAS, the Petition for annexation of this territory
or real estate, described in this ordinance, has been signed by
the owners of 100% of the property proposed to be annexed, exclusive
of streets and alleys, and said Petition has been filed with the
City Clerk; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO:
Section 1:

That the following described tract of
A parcel of land being a part of the "99"
claim No. 6899 located in Pitkin County Colorado,
said parcel being more fully described as
follows:
Beginning at a point on the couth line of said
"99" claim whence AP3 of said claim bears S89° 46'
E. 255.59 feet; thence N. 89°46'W. 121.27 feet
along south line of "99"; thence S06°23' E. 109.68
feet to the point of beginning. Area = 6604 square
feet,
is situated in the County of Pitkin, State of Colorado,

and adjoining and touching the boundary line of the City of
Aspen and situated that not less than 1/6th of the aggregate
external boundaries of said tract of land coincide with the
existing boundaries of the City of Aspen, Colorado be hereby
added to, annexed, taken into and made a part of the City of
Aspen, Colorado.
Section 2: That the annexation map and certified copies of
the original annexing ordinance be filed with the Office of the
Clerk of the City of Aspen, and with the office of the Secretary
of State and with the Clerk and Recorder of Pitkin County,
pursuant to the requirements set forth under Section 12 of said
Act.
Section 3: A public hearing on the Ordinance shall be

Council Chambers, City Hall, Aspen, Colorado.
