AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 101 OF THE
CITY AND TOWNSITE OF ASPEN, AND RESERVING AN EASEMENT
FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ASPEN:
SECTION ONE: That all that part of the alley
in Block 101 of the original Townsite of the City of
Aspen from its intersection with the easterly line of
Hunter Street thence easterly to its intersection
with the westerly line of Spring Street, shall be, and
the same hereby is, vacated as a public alley subject
to the conditions set forth herein.
SECTION TWO: That there is expressly reserved
from the vacation of said alley an easement for the use,
operation, construction and maintenance of public util-
ities, underground and overhead, including, but not
exclusively for electric power and telephone lines, water
lines, gas mains, sewer mains, and other utilities of a
like nature.
SECTION THREE: There is further expressly reserved
from the said vacation of said alley, an easement for
emergency vehicles, such as fire, police, and ambulance
as well as utilities, repair and maintenance vehicles.
SECTION FOUR: That no structures shall be
erected in said vacated alley, nor construction which shall
block or inhibit or prevent the use of said alley for ease-
ments provided herein; and further, the vacated part of the
alley shall not be used in computing the density for addi-
tional construction.

going Ordinance was introduced and read at a regular
meeting of the City Council of said City, held on the

said City Council was published as a proposed ordinance
as the law directs and for more than ten days prior to
its passage in the Aspen Times, legal newspaper; and that
on the__day of , 1968, the said proposed
Ordinance was read and passed by the City Council afore-
said, the said meeting of said City Council being a regular
meeting and ordered published in the aforesaid newspaper
as thm law directs.
