AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE IV, CHAPTER 2 OF THE ZONING
CODE OF THE CITY OF ASPEN PERTAINING TO THE ELECTRICAL
CODE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Aspen, Colorado;
Section 1, Chapter
Code of the City of Aspen is
follows:
2, Title IV of the Official
hereby amended to read as
4-2-1: ADOPTION OF CODE:
The National Electric Code, 1968
Edition, of the National Fire Protective Association, 60
Batterymarch Street, Boston 10, Massachusetts, and any
amendments thereto, is hereby adopted as the Electrical
Code of and for the City of Aspen for regulating the in-
stallation, alteration, repair and maintenance of electric
conductors and equipment installed within or on public or
private buildings within the City, and providing for the safe-
guarding of persons and property from hazards arising from
the uses of electricity for light, heating, power, radio,
signaling and other purposes. Three certified copies of said
Code are on file in the office of the City Clerk and may be
inspected during regular business hours."
Because of the matters and things
hereinabove set forth, the City Council of the City of Aspen,
Colorado hereby finds, determines and declares that an
emergency exists, and that this Ordinance is necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and
safety.
